In this framework, reference was made to the importance that the Foreign Ministry and the OIC assign to the fight against intolerance, negative stereotypes, stigmatization, discrimination, incitement to violence and violence against people for reasons of religion or of beliefs.

Minister Mondino highlighted that Argentina recognizes the broadest respect for religious freedom and cultural diversity, and agreed with her counterparts on the need to strongly condemn the scourge of Islamophobia, as well as all forms of discrimination for religious, ethnic or religious reasons. Likewise, there was agreement on the deep concern about the current situation of the civilian population in the Gaza Strip, in particular, children.

The OIC was established in 1969 as a forum to gather the voice of the Muslim world. Its headquarters are located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It currently has 57 member countries.
